LONDON -- Tottenham tore apart Queens Park Rangers to produce a stylish 4-0 rout that showcased the expressive attacking football demanded of new manager Mauricio Pochettino on Sunday, ensuring a miserable return to White Hart Lane for Harry Redknapp. In a high-tempo first-half display, Nacer Chadli seized on hapless QPR defending to score twice and defender Eric Dier made it two goals in two games at the start of his Tottenham career. Dier also scored the late winner at West Ham in last weekends season opener but Tottenham was far more rampant in Pochettinos first home game in charge. Emmanuel Adebayor completed QPRs humiliation in the second-half with a goal on the break provided by Danny Rose. "The most important thing is to try and develop our style and philosophy, today we showed our basis," said Pochettino, who joined from Southampton in May to replace Tim Sherwood. "We always try to play in the way that Tottenham played in its history." One early achievement for Pochettino is transforming the fortunes of Tottenhams record-signing: fellow Argentinian Erik Lamela. The 22-year-old winger was a $40-million misfit in his injury-hampered first season but has made an influential and industrious start to this campaign. After setting up two goals in the Europa League on Thursday, there were two more assists on his first Premier League start at White Hart Lane after a year in London. It had been two years since Redknapp left Tottenham and this capitulation, after QPR opened with a loss last weekend, showed the size of the task facing the 67-year-old manager. "We started poorly and we didnt get out of it," Redknapp said. "We looked like a team of strangers." A day to forget began with an exchange of hugs with Pochettino, whose Tottenham reign will be measured against Redknapps pair of top-four finishes and first-time Champions League qualification before being fired in 2012. Another face from Tottenhams past returned alongside Redknapp, with former player and manager Glenn Hoddle now on QPRs coaching staff watching from the directors box. The 3-5-2 formation Hoddle has introduced couldnt cope in the first half with the intense and speedy hosts. Lamela, who was signed a year ago to replace Gareth Bale, set the tone with a shot that was deflected wide inside a minute. It took just 12 minutes for QPR goalkeeper Rob Green to be beaten. Adebayor, who had already gone close with a header, crossed to the far post where defender Richard Dunne left Chadli to chest the ball down before dispatching it in the net. Had QPRs finishing been better, the course of the game could have turned but Matt Phillips, having already got away from Younes Kaboul, shot over when trying to chip goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. At the other end, QPR struggled to stop Spurs. The underside of the crossbar denied Christian Eriksen a goal directly from a free kick. But the 20-year-old Dier, who joined Tottenham in the off-season from Sporting Lisbon for $6 million, then flicked a header into the net at the near post from Lamelas corner on the half-hour. Seven minutes later and another header flew past Green, with Chadli left unmarked to meet Lamelas cross. Although QPR was tougher to break through with its four-man defence after the break, the damage was irreversible. The fourth goal came from a quick counterattack, with Rose charging down the left flank before squaring for Adebayor to side foot into the net. Although Pochettinos league career at Tottenham has started with two London derby successes, the first serious test wont come until next Sunday with the visit of Liverpool. ------ Cheap Wholesale Balenciaga Shoes . Ask New Mexico last year. Ask Cincinnati now. Siyani Chambers scored 11 points, including five straight in the final two minutes, and 12th-seeded Harvard won its second NCAA tournament game in history, upsetting Cincinnati 61-57 Thursday. Wesley Saunders led the Crimson (27-4) with 12 points as Harvard proved last years upset of New Mexico as a 14 seed was no fluke. The Crimson became the first Ivy League school with NCAA tournament wins in consecutive years since Princeton in 1983-84. They will play either Michigan State or Delaware in the third round. Harvard never trailed after the opening moments. They played with confidence and scrap against the No. 5 seed Bearcats, who shared the American Athletic Conference regular season title. Sean Kilpatrick led seed Cincinnati (27-7) with 18 points, but the Bearcats failed to win a tournament game for the second straight year. There was a reason Harvard was a popular upset pick. Even President Barack Obama had the Crimson taking out the Bearcats. The reason: defence and balance. All five starters averaged in double figures for the season and that balance was needed against Cincinnatis aggressive defence. Laurent Rivard of Saint-Bruno, Que., the Crimsons three-point specialist, finished with 11 points -- including nine from long range -- and four rebounds. Steve Moundou-Missi and Brandyn Curry both scored nine. Harvarrd also improved to 15-0 this season when holding its opponent to 60 points or less.dddddddddddd They entered the tournament with the 13th best scoring defence in the country. That defence helped overcome a shaky performance at the free throw line where Harvard was 17 of 28. Cincinnati had its chances. Justin Jackson finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, but the Bearcats shot only 37 per cent and missed a number of shots around the rim. Harvard withstood the early second-half push from the Bearcats. Jacksons dunk while being fouled and subsequent free throw pulled Cincinnati within 42-39 and Titus Rubles driving layup later trimmed the margin to 45-43. The Crimson then forced turnovers on three straight Bearcats possessions. Saunders flipped in a driving finger roll to push the lead to five. As Harvard went to the bench for a timeout, Chambers grinned and coach Tommy Amaker pumped his fists in approval. Harvard was not going to be denied another moment. They got second and third chances at their own misses. They littered the floor scrounging for loose balls. Cincinnati went more than five minutes without scoring. But the Bearcats fought back and cut the lead to one before Chambers stepped up. He hit a pullup 17-footer with 1:57 left for a 56-53 lead. Kyle Casey then drew an offensive foul against Kilpatrick with 1:33 left. Chambers hit a trio of free throws in the final minute and Saunders sealed it hitting a pair with 11 seconds left, setting off the celebration. ' ' '
